The Culture We’re Building

At Eagle Mountain, we believe honor is foundational to the culture of Heaven and to building healthy relationships.

But honor is more than being polite, showing respect, or agreeing with someone. Biblical honor recognizes the God-given value in people and chooses to treat them accordingly, even when they are different from us, disappoint us, or when relationships become difficult.

Scripture tells us to “honor all people.” That means honor cannot simply be something we give to people who think like us, act like us, or have earned our approval. Jesus modeled something different. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, safe, and significant in His presence.

In this video, we explore what it means to build relationships between powerful people: people who don't need to control one another, but can choose love, truth, freedom, responsibility, and healthy connection.

Honor doesn't mean ignoring unhealthy behavior or pretending everything is okay. It means that even in disagreement or difficulty, we don't surrender our ability to love, speak truth, and recognize the value God has placed in another person.

Honor also changes the way we see people. Instead of defining someone only by their history, failures, or weaknesses, we learn to look for the gold, what God has placed within them and who He is calling them to become.

We want people who encounter Eagle Mountain to experience something different from the culture around them: relationships where people are free, valued, empowered, and increasingly able to experience the heart of the Father through one another.

Honor looks for the gold. Honor calls people higher. Honor helps create the kind of relationships where the culture of Heaven can flourish.
