PRAYER AT EAGLE MOUNTAIN

Praying From Victory, Not For It

Prayer at Eagle Mountain is a time where we gather to seek God, align with His heart, and release His will on the earth.

OCTOBER PRAYER FOCUS:

SEE CLEARLY. KNOW HIS WILL. RESPOND.

Throughout September, God has been speaking to us about recognizing Him in unexpected places, knowing who we are in Christ, and developing spiritual discernment.

October carries that forward with a simple desire: to see what God is doing, know His heart, and respond to Him.
Discernment grows as our minds are renewed by the Word and our hearts become increasingly aligned with God's will. As we know Him, we recognize His ways more clearly and become ready to partner with what He is doing.

“And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent…” — Philippians 1:9–10

Join us before service as we pray together and partner with what God is doing in our church, our city, and beyond.

✦ What We Believe

God is moving, often in places and people that may look unexpected.

Throughout Scripture, He reveals treasure in unlikely vessels, meets people in unexpected places, and accomplishes His purposes in ways that invite us to see beyond natural appearances.
Our ability to recognize Him grows through relationship with Him.

Romans 12 connects discernment with the renewing of our minds—being transformed so that we can recognize the will of God, “that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Jesus takes it even deeper:

“If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God…” — John 7:17

A heart that desires His will becomes increasingly able to recognize His voice, His ways, and His movement.

✦ Our Posture in Prayer

We come as sons and daughters who belong to the Father, carry the authority Jesus has given, and depend upon the power of the Holy Spirit.

From that place of identity, our hearts are surrendered and attentive.

Prayer becomes a place of seeing, where the Word renews our thinking, the Holy Spirit sharpens our spiritual senses, and our perspective comes into greater alignment with God's.

Discernment matures through relationship, practice, and a genuine desire to do His will.

“For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light… trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.” — Ephesians 5:8–10

Our desire is to recognize what pleases Him and become increasingly responsive to His leading.

✦ What We Release in Prayer

Throughout October, our prayers are centered on spiritual sight, renewed minds, discernment, and hearts fully yielded to God's will.

We are praying for:
  • eyes to recognize God moving in unexpected places
  • renewed minds that discern according to the Word
  • spiritual senses trained to recognize what is good and excellent
  • wisdom to understand what God is doing beneath the surface
  • hearts passionate about His will
  • sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit
  • courage to respond when God reveals His direction

Like Ananias, we want to recognize people and situations according to what God sees and become available to participate in what He is doing.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is…” — Romans 12:2

See clearly. Know His will. Respond.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

We invite you to declare this with us:

Father, thank You for giving me eyes to see and a heart that can know You.

Renew my mind through Your Word and sharpen my spiritual senses. Teach me to recognize what is true, good, excellent, and pleasing to You.

My identity is secure in Christ. I belong to You, I carry the authority Jesus has given me, and the Holy Spirit supplies the power to accomplish what You place before me.

Give me Your perspective toward the people and situations around me. Let me recognize Your fingerprints in unexpected places and see the treasure You have placed in people.

My heart desires Your will.

As I know You more deeply, may Your ways become increasingly familiar to me. Give me wisdom to recognize Your movement and courage to participate with You.

Let my life become a willing response to Your heart.

SEE CLEARLY.
KNOW HIS WILL.
RESPOND.

In Jesus' name, amen.

✦ Over Eagle Mountain

Father, sharpen the spiritual sight of Eagle Mountain.

Renew our minds through Your Word and deepen our desire for Your will. Give this house wisdom and discernment to recognize what You are doing in people, circumstances, and our region.

May we see the treasure You have placed in unlikely vessels and recognize Your movement even when it comes in unexpected ways.

Strengthen us in our identity as sons and daughters, confident in the authority Jesus has given and fully dependent upon the Holy Spirit.

Make Eagle Mountain a people who recognize Your voice, understand Your heart, and respond with faith. Give us eyes for Bend and Central Oregon that see beyond natural appearances into the purposes You are already preparing.

May our discernment lead to partnership with You, and may our lives make the Kingdom visible wherever You send us.

SEE CLEARLY.
KNOW HIS WILL.
RESPOND.

In Jesus' name, amen.
