Se 8 - Conclusion

Bobby Haaby

Overview

We’ve explored angelic encounters, encounters in the Word, and connecting with saints and God’s presence. For this final session, Bobby circles back to the foundation—the biblical narrative. What does it mean to live a life of encounters that is anchored in the Bible, authentic, and full of God’s power? This lesson will help you discern authentic spiritual experiences, hunger for more, and step into your role as a trumpet for God’s revelation. You’ll learn that encounters aren’t just for the pages of Scripture but for everyday life as you follow Jesus.

“To be biblical is to be radical. Jesus did it. He set the precedence for us to show us what one man or woman, rightly connected to God, can be and do.” —Bobby Haaby

Core Takeaways:

True spiritual encounters are anchored in Scripture and point us to Jesus.

The lives of biblical saints, like Moses and Elijah, model what it means to live in ongoing relationship with God—even after death, they are alive as the “great cloud of witnesses.”

The Bible is not just a record of history, but a living invitation to step into the miraculous and the supernatural today.

Seeking spiritual gifts and encounters is biblical (see 1 Corinthians 14)—we are told to hunger for and covet spiritual realities.

God can speak through any messenger and any circumstance. Don’t let skepticism or offense cause you to miss His voice.

Your life is meant to trumpet God’s goodness to your family, church, and the world.

Key Scriptures:

Luke 9:28–36 – The Mount of Transfiguration: Jesus meets Moses and Elijah, showing biblical precedent for encountering saints.

Hebrews 11:39–40; 12:1 – The “great cloud of witnesses” spurring us on.

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 – The biblical warning against necromancy, clarified by the New Covenant reality of resurrection life.

1 Corinthians 14:1 – “Earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.”

1 Thessalonians 5:21 – “Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

Questions To Consider:

Do I see the miraculous, supernatural life in the Bible as relevant for today?

How can I position myself to recognize and steward God-encounters in my own life?

Activation:

Take 5–10 minutes to pray: “Jesus, open my eyes to see You in my everyday life. Give me a hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Help me test and discern every encounter, holding fast to what is from You. I want to be a trumpet of Your goodness.”

Journal Prompt:

Reflect and write: “Where have I experienced God’s presence, voice, or power in ways that surprised me? How can I grow in both biblical discernment and childlike hunger for more of Him?”

Remember:

The call to encounter God didn’t end with the early church. The Word is full of stories that set our expectation for radical, biblical, ongoing encounters. As you hunger for more and anchor your life in Scripture, you step into the story God is still writing—right here, right now.

You are blessed to go deeper and to live a heaven-aware life, every day.
