SE 2 - Moses
Lesson Overview:
The Spirit loves to empower, but the Father invites us higher: seek His face. Bobby’s encounter with Moses centers on Exodus 33–34. Signs and wonders matter, yet the greater cry is, “Show me Your glory.” This lesson trains your heart to prioritize Presence over performance, intimacy over activity, and transformation over outcomes—so you carry a radiant life that points to Jesus.
“The goal of scripture is to lead you into your next encounter with God. So once you come out of an encounter, you jump into scripture which leads you into your next encounter.”
—Bobby Haaby
Core Takeaways:
The purpose of an encounter is to reveal an aspect of God’s character or nature, often tailored for your current season.
Encounters awaken a hunger for more of God and should drive you deeper into His Word.
Not every encounter is just for you—sometimes God is preparing you to bless others.
Scripture is both the furnace and foundation for every encounter, helping us test, confirm, and fully experience what God is showing us.
Longing for glory reshapes assignments and motives.
Our responsibility is to posture ourselves to receive, treasure, and act on what God reveals, turning encounter into transformation.

Questions To Consider:
When you encounter God, do you seek out what He’s revealing about Himself for this season of your life?
Where have results eclipsed relationship in your life?
Activation:
Take 10 minutes to read Exodus 33:14–19 aloud. Pray: “Jesus, I ask to see Your glory.” Sit in stillness for 5 minutes. Note any nudge or scripture.
Journal Prompt:
Reflect on a time when an encounter with God left you hungry for more. What did you do with that hunger—did it lead you back to His Word, to worship, or to share with others? How might you respond differently now?
Remember:
God’s heart is that encounters would shape us, fuel our pursuit, and draw us into the living reality of His presence. Treasure these moments, root them in scripture, and let them lead you ever deeper into knowing Him.
