The Wild Waters of New Life

When Jesus went to the cross, He did not just die for you. He died with you.
This distinction changes everything about how we understand our faith. If Jesus only died for us, we would be left trying to fix our old nature. But Romans 6 reveals a deeper reality. We were buried with Him in baptism. When He went into the grave, the old you went into the grave. The false self, the orphan thinking, the striving, and the old earthly design were completely buried.
Baptism is the funeral of that false self. It is the moment you break agreement with every lie that told you that you did not belong. Stepping into the water brings profound alignment with heaven. You are making a clear, physical declaration to stop identifying with your past and start identifying with your resurrection. This is the origin of your true identity. You were not just buried with Him; you were raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
But the transformation does not end in the water. John the Baptist declared that Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire. Water buries the old nature, but the Spirit empowers the new one. When you are filled with His Spirit, you receive everything pertaining to life and godliness. You do not have to rely on your own limited judgment or strength. You carry the mind of Christ. Remember that when Jesus came out of the water, the Father spoke identity over Him before He ever performed a single miracle. Identity always precedes assignment.
Then comes the baptism of fire. Fire brings passion, cleansing, and the unstoppable love of the Father. It burns away the noise of the world and gives us a clear signal of His presence. It provides the clarity and momentum we need to walk out our God-given direction. Just like the priests in the temple, our job is to keep the wicks trimmed by staying anchored in the Word of God.
All of creation is eagerly waiting for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God. The Greek word for this revealing is apocalypse. God is unveiling who you truly are. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places right now.
Stop agreeing with the old man. Put the truth of God on your lips. Confess what He has already accomplished, and watch how it transforms your world.
There is so much more to this revelation of water, Spirit, and fire. We encourage you to watch the full message on our site to experience the full weight of what God is doing in this season.
