Unlocking the Power of Faith: Living in God's Abundance

Have you ever felt like you're constantly waiting for God to move in your life? Like breakthrough is always just around the corner, but never quite within reach? It's time to radically shift our perspective and embrace a profound truth: God has already moved. He's already provided everything we need.

This revelation has the power to transform our entire approach to faith, prayer, and worship. Let's dive deep into this life-changing concept and explore how it can revolutionize our spiritual journey.

The Nature of Faith
Faith isn't about moving a reluctant God. It's about aligning ourselves with what He has already accomplished. Hebrews 11:6 tells us, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."

Our faith doesn't cause God to be nice or to act. Instead, it confronts the unbelief in our own souls that says God might not want to reward us. Faith shouts, "God wants to reward me!" And here's the beautiful part – God wants to reward us simply for believing He is good.

The Process of Faith
Romans 10:17 provides a crucial insight into how faith operates: "So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

This verse reveals a profound process:
  1. God speaks (His Word)
  2. We hear (choose to believe)
  3. Faith grows
  4. We see (spiritual insight)
  5. We worship

Everything begins with God's Word. As we tune our hearts to hear and believe what He says, faith grows. This faith allows us to see what human eyes cannot – the unseen realities of God's kingdom. And when we truly see God, we can't help but worship Him with abandon.

Confessions of Faith
Mark 11:23-24 emphasizes the power of our words: "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Our confessions of faith are not just positive thinking; they're declarations of what God has already accomplished. When we pray, we're not meant to beg God to act. Instead, we're called to believe we have already received what we're asking for.
This shifts our entire paradigm. We're not waiting on God to do something new. We're learning to access and walk in what He's already provided through Christ's finished work on the cross.

The Fullness of Salvation
Romans 10:9-10 takes on new meaning when we understand the full implications of the Greek word "sozo" used for salvation: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

"Sozo" encompasses not just eternal life, but also healing, deliverance, and power over poverty. When we confess Jesus as Lord, we're declaring the fullness of His salvation in every area of our lives – right now, not just in the future.

Rethinking Our Approach
This understanding should revolutionize how we pray, worship, and live out our faith:
  1. Prayer: Instead of begging God to act, we thank Him for what He's already done and align ourselves with His finished work.
  2. Worship: We don't wait until after the breakthrough to praise God. We worship Him now, on this side of our "Red Sea," knowing He's already made a way.
  3. Prophecy: In prophetic ministry, we must be careful not to speak of things "just around the corner" that Christ has already accomplished. Our prophecies should align people with present realities in God's kingdom.
  4. Theology: We need to examine our beliefs and teachings to ensure they reflect the truth that God has "given us everything we need for life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3).

A Powerful Encounter
Imagine standing at the edge of the Red Sea, hearing the joyous celebration of the Israelites on the other side after their miraculous deliverance. Now picture God asking, "What do you think would have happened in their lives had they worshipped with that same vigor on this side of their Red Sea?"

This poignant question challenges us to cultivate a lifestyle of faith-filled, anticipatory worship. What if we praised God with unbridled enthusiasm before we see the breakthrough, trusting in His finished work?

Living in God's Abundance
As we embrace this truth, it will fill our hearts with joy and excitement to explore the riches God has already lavished upon us. We can walk in confidence, knowing that our faith doesn't move God – it moves us into alignment with what He's already done.

Let's allow this revelation to permeate every aspect of our lives:
  • Change how we pray and intercede
  • Transform our worship
  • Reshape our understanding of God's nature
  • Influence the songs we sing and the theology we embrace

Remember: Your faith walks in the reward of what God has already accomplished.
As we close, let this truth sink deep into your spirit. How will it change the way you approach God today? How might it influence your prayers, your worship, your daily walk with Christ?

May we be a people who live in the glorious reality of God's finished work, continually exploring with joy the vast riches He has already given us in Christ. Let's step into a new level of faith, praising God on this side of our Red Sea, and watch as He opens doors we never thought possible.

After all, it only takes faith as small as a mustard seed to see mountains move. What mountains in your life need to bow to the finished work of Christ today?
